Sebastián Guerrero, P.Eng, M.Eng, is Principal of Chalten Engineering Ltd.

Chalten Engineering Ltd. is 0QM Certified by the Engineering and Geoscientists of British Columbia.

Sebastián is a Whistler local and Senior Structural Engineer with over 20years of experience in structural design, supervision and construction management of reinforced concrete, post-tensioned concrete, wood frame and structural steel buildings. 

He holds a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidad Tecnologica Nacional (UTN) from Buenos Aires, Argentina in 1999, as well as a Master's degree in Structural and Earthquake Engineering from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2006.

He was an Associate Project Engineer for Glotman Simpson Consulting Engineers in Vancouver, B.C. where he managed the design of a wide range of projects including wood frame residential, heritage, institutional and industrial buildings as well as large scale concrete high rise developments.

He was also a Senior Structural Engineer for Ausenco Canada working exclusively on seismic upgrades and the lead engineer for multiple projects including the first application of Base Isolation to a building in Canada at Strathcona Elementary school.

Sebastián has collaborated with APEGBC, UBC and the Ministry of Education of BC in the development of seismic retrofit guidelines for schools. He is a member of the Technical Review Board (TRB). He has been a guest lecturer at UBC Civil Engineering and the Structural Engineers Association of BC Courses.

He is a member of the Association of Professional Engineers of British Columbia and the Structural Engineers Association of British Columbia.

Sebastián has successfully managed many small and large scale projects delivering them on-time and on-budget, fully meeting the clients' requirements, with a focus to identify, analyze and expedite the resolution of the problems during all phases of design and construction.
